Guatemala La Inteligencia

Guatemala La Inteligencia

Traveling in the Guatemalan region of Huehuetenango, or Huehue for short, is not easy. The mountainous hillsides and deep valleys make travel slow and winding, but the coffees that grows on these hillsides are renowned for their brightness and depth of flavor.

This micro-lot from the Vásquez family near Hoja Blanca, is grown with extreme attention to detail. The coffee is hand-picked, hand sorted, and dried in small lots on raised beds as well as on their patio. The lot is a mix of San Ramon and Caturra varieties and grown on their farm near 1,800 masl. The coffee is bright, fun, and tropical and is a great example of the complexity present in truly exceptional Huehue coffees.
